How to reach the event

The closest and most convenient airport is Split Airport Kaštela. A direct bus line operated by PLESO PRIJEVOZ connects Split Airport to Split Harbor. Shuttle bus departures correspond with flight arrivals. Tickets cost 30 Croatian Kuna (kn) and can be bought online or on the bus (cash only, no foreign currencies). Online tickets can be bought for a specific date, but not for a specific time as departure times are arranged in accordance with flight arrival schedules and may change on short notice.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi: +385 (0)21 895 237, appr. 300 kn. In order to avoid unpleasant surprises, please ask the driver for the price before departure.

How to get from Split to Hvar Island

Hvar Island is connected to the mainland by several catamaran and ferry lines. The main operator in Split is Jadrolinija. If you travel to Hvar from Dubrovnik or other ports, please check the internet for ferry/catamaran connections.

The best option to get from Split Harbor to the town of Hvar is by catamaran. The trip takes about 1 hour, schedules can be found on the Jadrolinija website. Departure port is Split, port of arrival is Hvar. Tickets can be bought online. However, only a certain percentage of available tickets are sold online. If there are no more tickets to be bought through the website, there may still be seats available. Tickets can then be bought at the Harbor.

Option 2 is the ferry connection from Split Harbor to Stari Grad (Hvar Island). The ferry ride to the island takes longer and makes an additional bus ride from Stari Grad to Hvar (town) necessary, so it is only an option for participants who travel to Croatia by car, and for very early or late arrivals who won´t be able to catch one of the catamarans to Hvar. Tickets cost 47 kn (per passenger; rates for cars differ – please check the Jadrolinija website) and can be bought online or at Split Harbor (cash or credit card). Departure port: Split, port of arrival: Stari Grad. The last ferry leaves Split Harbor at 8:30 pm. Ferry schedules are also available at https://www.jadrolinija.hr/en/ferry-croatia.

There is a bus connection from the port of Stari Grad to the town of Hvar. Bus schedules are coordinated with ferry arrival times. Alternatively, you can take a taxi to Hvar.

Please coordinate your flight with catamaran/ferry schedules and allow enough time for transfers!

Shuttle from Hvar (town) to Hotel Sirena

There will be a shuttle van waiting for you at the bus stop near Hvar harbor (ca. 200 m) once you reach the port of Hvar (town) on 21 September 2019. The port of Hvar is quite small so you should be able to find the bus stop without a problem. Just walk along the jetty to St. Stephen´s Square, turn right and walk past the church all the way to the end of the square. There is a tourist information office to your left and the bus stop right in front of it (see map below). The shuttle will be waiting in the adjacent parking area. There will also be members of our local team (in white T-Shirts with the FEBS logo) present to guide people from the jetty to the shuttle van.

Emergency contact number: Ms. Valentina Obadic, phone +385 98 961 9469.
